Privacy Policy

Who we are
Roadworthy (“we”, “us”) provides compliance tools and printable paperwork for UK transport operators at getroadworthy.co.uk. Roadworthy is operated under the trading name Roadworthy (getroadworthy.co.uk). For any privacy question, contact us at hello@getroadworthy.co.uk.
The information we collect, and why
- Your email address — only if you choose to join our list or request a free resource. We use it to send you what you asked for and, where you have opted in, occasional updates. Lawful basis: your consent.
- Order information — when you buy, payment is handled by our checkout provider (Gumroad). We never see or store your card details. We receive only what we need to fulfil and support your order (e.g. the product bought and an order reference). Lawful basis: performance of our contract with you.
- Anonymous usage statistics — we use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics that count visits without identifying you and without tracking you across sites. Because it sets no non-essential cookies, this site shows no cookie banner.
What we do not do
- We do not sell or rent your personal data to anyone.
- We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
- We keep the data we hold to the minimum — an email address is usually all of it.
How long we keep it
We keep your email only while you want to hear from us; unsubscribe at any time and we remove you promptly. Order records are kept as long as needed to support the purchase and to meet legal and tax obligations.
Who processes your data for us
- Gumroad — payment processing and order fulfilment (as merchant of record). See Gumroad’s own privacy policy.
- Cloudflare — hosting, email handling and privacy-friendly analytics.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, or stop using it for marketing, and you can withdraw consent at any time. To do any of these, email hello@getroadworthy.co.uk. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
Security
Your payment details live in the payment provider’s secure systems, not on our site or any spreadsheet. The site itself is served as static pages over HTTPS with a strict content-security policy.
Changes
We may update this policy; the “last updated” date above shows when. Material changes will be made clear on this page.
Note for the operator: once you are trading properly, check whether you need to register with the ICO and pay the annual data-protection fee — a small but sometimes-legal requirement.
